Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born 1 October, 1995 on the 1st of October 1995 in Berkeley, California, USA. She is a well-known actor in the film Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) as well as Chrissie's Content House
Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is comprised of actors as is she, herself working in both fields. Her debut came when she was only nine years old, in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). She had a leading role in the film as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. She played Nanni Moretti's daughter the following time on the film Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido in 1992, was where Asia's career took off. From playing young girls, she moved on to perform more challenging and mature characters. This movie received a positive review during the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma (1993) it was the first time she was the first to work with her father, famed Italian filmmaker Dario Argento (her mother is among his favorite actors, Daria Nicolodi, playing an anorexic girl in search of her parents' killer. The Phantom of the Opera was the third film she acted in together with her father with the other two being Trauma, as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Her deep, absorbing acting style has been well used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot. The actress had a role that was internationally acclaimed. Her next collaboration was with Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion in 1995, giving her a second David di Donatello, as well as an award from Grolla D'oro. Asia began directing short films in the year 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive, 1996, she directed a documentary about her father; and Abel/Asia, 1998, on the legendary director Abel Ferrara. This latter was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature film in 1999. It was Scarlet Diva (2000). It was also her main actor, as well as the writer of the script. The film premiered on 20 May on the 20th of May in Italy as well as the rest of world. It was also released in Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. In 2001, following the directing of several music videos and giving birth, she welcomed her first daughter, Anna Lou. In 2002, Asia starred as Jean-Marc Barr's co-star in The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) and Vin Diesel was the star in Rob Cohen's thriller The Action. Asia also has a collection of short stories which were published in top magazines.
